Special Education Teacher of the Year
Award Details:
Applications/Nominations for the New Hampshire Council for Exceptional Children Special Education Teacher of the Year will be accepted until February 1, 2024. This award was established to honor an outstanding special educator. The winner of this award will be honored at the ‘Ed’ies in June 2024. The winner will also be eligible to be considered for the international “CEC Special Educator of the Year.”
- The recipient must be currently involved in the provision of direct service to students with disabilities.
- The recipient should have demonstrated exemplary performance over a period of time as a special education teacher, exhibiting such qualities as innovativeness, imagination, creativity, and ability to inspire, as indicated by achievements clearly recognized by members of the profession and others knowledgeable of the candidate.
- The recipient must be certified as a New Hampshire Special Education Teacher and have five (5) or more years teaching in special education.
Applications/Nominations should include all the information requested on the form below. Supportive documentations should focus on the qualities, which contribute to the exemplary performance of this person in the delivery of direct services. The original and two copies of the complete nomination package should be forwarded no later than Date.
